2/7/10 Banana Nut Bread

Last night I had the baking bug and figured I might as well just make my recipe for today-last night. I went on my favorite forum and a forum member sent me the recipe:

(I will post as soon as I get the okay)

It was amazing! Very moist and dense. The only change I will make text time is to add more banana, but overall a very nice banana nut bread!

I will be adding this to my recipe book as well!

2/6/10 Honey Breaded Chicken

So last night for dinner I came up with a recipe myself. I made Honey breaded baked chicken. It was delicious

I took boneless and skinless chicken tenders and dipped them in honey til they were coated. Then I put them in a mixture of Italian bread crumbs and Parmesan cheese. Popped them onto a cookie sheet and baked on 400 degrees for 40 minutes and viola!

My husband and I both loved it. It was not to sweet but the honey made it just sweet enough and it was a nice change from the usual savory chicken breasts.

So needless to say, I added this recipe to my cook book!

2 months, lots of new recipes!

I am starting this blog, because I have come up with an idea. I am sick of eating and cooking the same foods over and over again, and because of this boredom I resorted to eating out quite often with my Husband.

So I decided for the next 2 months, I am going to try 3 new recipes a week. I wanted to have a longer goal, but I want to get through the next 2 months first. I don't really have any 'rules' for my challenge except I hope I can follow through!

I want to try to bake at least 1 item a week, I hope to use my crock pot much, and I hope my husband and I will enjoy the new foods we are going to try. We are both very picky eaters and I hope to diminish that. As far as trying new recipes; this does not mean I can only cook, say meatloaf for example, one time. If its a different recipe with a new twist I can try it!

So heres to sticking with it, and hoping to get something out of it!
